WHO WE ARE

OUR MISSION

We catalyze and support

movements of hope.

At Rings of Hope, we cultivate a lifestyle of hope. We catalyze and support movements that encourage holistic transformation – on a personal and societal level.

OUR VISION

We envision communities in which hope blossoms and bears fruit.

We believe in the power of community. In deep, authentic relationships, the roots of belonging and identity grow. This creates the courage to develop and bring to life hope-filled visions.

Our VALUES

Relationships

We live appreciative and authentic relationships.

Boldness

We dare to act with courage and audacity.

Leadership

We recognize and develop potential in ourselves, in other people and in our present circumstances, bringing us closer to the future we envision.

Love

We want our being and our actions to be characterized by love. Jesus of Nazareth inspires and guides us in this.

Our Approach

As we help teams carry out their vision, we are guided by the following principles:

Holistic

We accompany people on a material, psycho-social and spiritual level.

Dignity

We create space and enable experiences so that individuals can become more conscious of their intrinsic value.

Social Innovation

We foster teams that develop their collective potential with the help of self-organized processes.

Empowerment

We nurture the ability of individuals and movements to act and create with the ultimate aim of their independence.

Dynamic

We build flexible movements that continuously evolve and multiply.

Hope looks different for each and every one of us — so the movements that we initiate differ from each other as well. At the core of each movement we have a passionate team — a core ring — that carries the Rings of Hope DNA in terms of values and approach. Together with these leaders, we shape a visionary culture and build socially innovative movements that inspire society with hope.

We currently support three movements that we have initiated in Nigeria:

Rings of Hope in Switzerland (Association)

Rings of Hope is registered as an association since 2018 and has the status of non-profit, which means that all donations are tax deductible. The board of directors consists of the four founding members, who will not be mentioned by name for security reasons.

In Switzerland, most of our work is carried out by volunteers. A program advisor (50%) supports the grassroots organizations in the areas of monitoring, finance, technology and communication. The accounting is carried out by GEWA, a foundation for professional integration.
